You can trust Illogical Operation to never solicit paid advertising.
In accordance with our views, we are unwilling to make money off our creations. Yet, we needed some way to fill up a space initially designed for “advertising.” After much consideration, we realized we could just link to whoever the hell we wanted and make our own “ads.”
The question became how do we define these “ads” and how to we let individuals know that no money was exchanged for this service, and its even likely that many of the pages we link to wish for fucks sake that we wouldn’t.
“Advertisement” comes from the Old French root of “advertir” which meant “to notice.” To detourn this ideal and exemplify our purpose, we chose the noun in modern French “méprise,” which means “contempt” or “disregard,” because the verb “to disregard” does not seem to have an adequate counterpart in French. Thus, Méprisement was born.
You can find more information on the sites we link to via méprisements in our References section.
